Volunteers will have the opportunity to work in the Eco-village of Sólheimar in different sections as follows: Landscaping in the Eco-village, different tasks on the green and landscape areas; renovation and maintenance works in some of the buildings; and in two workshops: The forestry department of Ölur or in the vegetable organic-growing greenhouses of Sunna. * The name Sólheimar means “home of the sun”. |

Volunteers will team up with the local Icelandic volunteers from the Film studies of the University of Iceland. They will share all types of tasks related to the festival and the group will be split according to the needs and to give everyone the chance to try out different assignments. * The name Reykjavík means “smoky bay”: Given by the first settlers that arrived to the area due to the high geothermal activity and the constant rise of steam out of the hot springs around. |
