The project is launched by a Social-Cultural centre in the same neighborhood, “De Vaartkapoen”. The children are mainly from North African backgrounds and all have in common to live in a big city, in a generally socio-economically disadvantaged background. After doing many successful intercultural projects with the children we have become convinced that this is a good learning experience, both for the children as for the International group.

Program: To provide the children with a week of intercultural, artistic and exciting adventures. Therefore the entire group of young people will do some preparation and design a program during the first part of the exchange, the second half they will actually implement this program with the children. The children will be under supervision of professional child care workers, so the volunteers will have no professional responsibilities towards them, but should behave responsible and be motivated. To challenge and inspire the volunteers we will provide them with many workshops, where theater be a central theme. Local excursions are planned.
